Avelynne the Aveley Giant

In 2007, Strange Cargo collaborated with the staff, students, and parents of Aveley Primary to find ways for the school to stand out from village life.

Avelynne, their new Giant, became a wonderful symbol of this effort. Avelynne the Giant, along with her friends, regularly participates in festivals, carnivals, and parades across the UK, France, and Belgium. The early curriculum connections inspired by the Géants phenomenon have given both the students' and villagers' future plans an exciting international dimension.
