Charivari 2007: World Carnival

The theme for this year's Charivari Day is 'World Carnival.' Artists and participants drew inspiration from carnivals around the globe.

Charivari 2007 marked a return to traditional carnival techniques and materials. With 'World Carnival' as the theme, we stocked up on feathers, glitter, netting, and sequins!

Our talented artist team researched global carnivals to inspire the event, settling on a vibrant rainbow palette. The school groups eagerly embraced the theme, crafting costumes full of color and movement, and choreographing dance routines to match.

Over 600 people took part in the procession, stopping traffic and filling Folkestone with laughter and dancing, all accompanied by the fabulous multicultural bands.
