Charivari 2013: Box of Delights

The theme of "Box of Delights" made this year’s Charivari Day—a highlight of Folkestone’s summer calendar—an extraordinary celebration. Now in its 17th year, Charivari Day continues to grow and impress.

This year saw a record 23 schools from across Shepway participating, alongside independent Charivari groups and teachers from Brockhill, Folkestone Academy, and All Souls. These groups created vibrant costumes at The Factory and took part in the lively parade.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to our generous sponsors, whose support makes Charivari Day possible:

  • Roger De Haan Charitable Trust

  • Paul Hamlyn Foundation

  • Folkestone Town Council

  • Shepway District Council

  • Rotary Club of Folkestone Channel

  • Cllr. Birkby and Cllr. Neaves

  • Kent County Council

  • Arts Council England

  • Brockhill Park School

  • Artswork

  • All participating schools

We appreciate everyone who supported the event. Be sure to watch the video of the day, created by Under Your Hat Productions, to relive the vibrant celebrations.
