Charivari Day 2024:
British Folklore and Ritual Traditions
Our annual summer carnival took to the streets of Folkestone to celebrate the art of British Folklore and Ritual Traditions.
A vibrant procession of 700 plus people including bands, dancers and giant carnival builds paraded to the Leas band stand via The Stade, Old High Street and town centre.
“The carnival is more than just a parade; it’s a celebration of community and cultural diversity. Charivari Day engages people from all walks of life, uniting them in a shared appreciation for the arts and local heritage.”
