Charivari 2013

Box of Delights was the theme to this wonderful day of community celebration, which is a very exciting part of Folkestone’s summer calendar. Charivari Day is now in its 17th year and the parade demonstrated that it’s going from strength to strength.

This year a record 23 schools were involved from across Shepway and a number of independent Charivari groups and teachers from Brockhill, Folkestone Academy and All Souls took part, making costumes at The Factory and took part in the parade on the day.

And last, but by no means least, our thanks to the sponsors, whose generous support makes Charivari Day possible. They are:

• Roger De Haan Charitable Trust, Paul Hamlyn Foundation, Folkestone Town Council, Shepway District Council, Rotary Club of Folkestone Channel, Cllr. Birkby and Cllr. Neaves, Kent County Council, Arts Council England, Brockhill Park School and Artswork and all of the participating schools
