Cultural Audit

Our innovative graphic questionnaire commissioned by the Creative Foundation in Folkestone to create a Cultural Audit of young people's cultural activity across Shepway.

The Find Your Talent cultural audit was designed to explore how young people in Shepway engage with culture, and to create a toolkit to help them access more cultural activity. 

A graphic questionnaire based on cartoons and graffiti captured the information using question and answer sessions in school classrooms and was designed to overcome issues of literacy, age and understanding. 

The consultation programme was designed by artists, educators and advisors on data analysis and the results provide a robust profile of young peoples’ cultural engagement, every one of the district’s 14,000 school children were involved, providing each with her or his own cultural profile. 

In 12 weeks we designed and developed the concept, produced the toolkit, made face to face contact with 14,000 pupils, gathered over two million pieces of information about students’ cultural activity, and generated more than 500 hours of aspirational debate with young people across 45 schools.
