The Littlebourne Giant

Torrent was the first of the East Kent Giants to be created and brought to life. Inspired by the River Nailbourne, which runs through Littlebourne and had recently burst its banks due to severe flooding, Torrent was introduced during a special ceremony in the City of Canterbury. He was surrounded by people from the five towns of East Kent, who were soon to receive their own giants over the coming years.

Torrent's Big Head characters, Ebb and Flo, also reference the Nailbourne, reflecting its deep connection to Littlebourne's history and prosperity. Torrent resides in the barn where he was created, overseeing local weddings and celebrations. As the elder statesman of the Giants, he makes appearances at festivals and events across the UK and Europe, embodying the spirit and tradition of the East Kent Giants.
