The Resident Platform: Gayle Chong Kwan and four retired Cheriton residents

Artists and residents work together to create a new cultural landscape. Strange Cargo support the dismantling of cultural hierarchy with a residency programme. The Resident Platform brings professional artists to bring their practice to Cheriton to create a new sculpture for Folkestone West Station. Created as a companion to a second sculpture made by local people through a participatory process delivered by Strange Cargo and observed by the artist.

Artist Gayle Chong Kwan and four retired Cheriton residents will unveil two new sculptures at Folkestone West railway station. Created for The Resident Platform’s 5th public artwork.
