How can interruptions to public services serve as a catalyst for public art?
When extensive drainage works in Folkestone town centre required hoardings, a temporary aesthetic solution was needed. The idea of what lies beneath the surface of the road inspired a 75-metre painted mural. Designed by local primary school children and brought to life by Strange Cargo, the mural transformed the hoardings into a vibrant public artwork, adding colour and creativity to the heart of the town.
