Croydon’s London Borough of Culture programme ran April 2023 – March 2024. Strange Cargo collaborated with local people to create a big, bold celebration of their communities.

Our artist team set up shop in local libraries to deliver family inclusive workshops that explored Croydon’s music heritage. Inspiring carnival builds of Croydon icons, we crafted large scale puppets for an immersive parade companioned with dancers.
