Walking the Zigzag

The Zig-Zag path in Folkestone became the site to commemorate D-Day in the form of a series of artworks that had been created following a collaborative partnership between local children aged 11 and adults who were 11 years old during wartime in 1944.

The resulting mix of engaging and interactive works were created by Strange Cargo working with both ages of participants. Visitors who Walked the Zig-Zag were able to experience soundscape, sculpture, interactive and kinetic works and moving image. The experience created new memories and stimulated old ones.
